Run the business
Book-a-call scheduling
Let people book a call with you in their own time zone: the time is held while they type, they get a private link to move or cancel it, and anything already on your Google Calendar stays off the list.
You’re the customer here.
Pick a time, fill in the form with anything you like, and book it. Then open the link on the confirmation to move the call or cancel it, the way your customer would.
- Real: the widget, the ten-minute holds and the time-zone maths. This is the package, not a recording of it.
- Not real: the calendar. It belongs to a sample business, Northwind Dental, that doesn’t exist. Nothing you book reaches anyone, and nobody is emailed, whatever address you type.
- Yours alone: the sandbox belongs to this browser session. It stops working after 24 hours and is then deleted.
The problem
Setting up one call by email takes four messages and a time-zone mistake. The tools that fix it put your calendar, your prospects and your brand on somebody else's site.
How it works
You keep your weekly hours in your own time zone, with days off and holidays on top. Visitors see the open times in theirs, worked out from the exact instant, so a daylight-saving change never moves a call. Picking a time holds it for ten minutes while they fill in the form, and every hold and booking re-checks the time inside one database transaction. Two people racing for 10:00 get one booking and one honest "someone just booked that time".
The confirmation says exactly how you'll meet: your video link, a phone call from you, or their own meeting link if they'd rather send the invite. It has Add to Google Calendar, a .ics file, and a private link to reschedule or cancel without an account. A reschedule moves the same booking, so the link keeps working and their calendar updates the event instead of adding a second one.
Paste your Google Calendar's secret iCal address and anything already on it is never offered, with no OAuth to set up. If the calendar can't be read, the page keeps working on your own bookings and your admin shows that sync is failing.
The widget above is the real package in sandbox mode, playing a sample business: a dental office that doesn't exist. It books, moves and cancels against a throwaway calendar that belongs to your browser session. Nobody is emailed, nothing you do there reaches anyone, and the calendar files it hands you are marked as sandbox events.
- Weekly hours in the host's time zone, plus days off, special hours and holidays; visitors pick in theirs, correct across daylight saving
- Ten-minute holds and one transaction per booking, so the same time can't be booked twice
- Video, phone, or the visitor's own meeting link, and the confirmation only promises what that choice delivers
- Add to Google Calendar, a .ics download, and a private link to reschedule or cancel without an account
- Busy times read from your Google Calendar's secret iCal address: no OAuth, and a calendar that can't be read degrades instead of breaking the page
- Booked, moved and cancelled events plus the email templates to go with them, so your own mailer sends the confirmations and reminders; this site sends its own that way
- The host's admin screens ship too: upcoming and past calls, moving and cancelling them, hours and time off, the calendar connection and call types
- A sandbox mode for demos: the same widget, a throwaway calendar per visitor, no emails, and no real calendar read
- A React widget that styles itself in light and dark and works at phone width: npm install, one route, and your licence key
